Karen’s Mantra: “You cannot change what’s going on around you until you start changing what’s happening within you”
Karen Benjamin-Hamlet is a Primary Therapist for Water Gap Wellness.
Karen’s interest in the Mental Health field started during her undergraduate internship where she engaged and supported clients overcoming trauma, substance use and mental health concerns. It was during this time that she refocused her path into pursuing career dedicated to helping those struggling with these co-occurring issues. Karen graduated from Fordham University with her Masters in Social Work and has more than 10 years in the Human Services field.
Karen’s goals as a Therapist are to help her clients to cultivate a healthy and balanced life that supports a sense of purpose and meaning. Karen believes that through a guided process of learning self- awareness, self-regulation and coping strategies, clients can begin and sustain the journey to recovery.
